After being shutout in the last game, the Cyclone bats
wake up in BIG way. Gusty, windy conditions (40 mph) made each fly
ball an adventure. Nick "Turbines" Finley blasted a lead off homer
for the Cyclones and it was all up hill from there. Saint pitchers
yielded 16 hits in 4 innings and the Cyclones defined the true meaning
of using the mercy rule to end this O.C.S. nightmare. Multiple hit
games were by Matty Thompson (2 for 2 with 2 rbi's), Jakey Trotter (2 for
4 with 4), Amadeus Mock (3 for 3 with 4), & Andy Tekell (2 for 2 with
1). Up from the dust rose Bartoinne Shelley with a 2 ribby
double, Brandione Smith with a double, and Mickey Plumley with an
rbi double. Matt "Strike Zone" Murphy pitched a complete game in
a nifty 73 pitch performance.

* Buck Cody went way back and juggled his way to make the catch
in left field.
Moon Pie Mania (Something Special):
* Matt "M.A.S.H. 4077" Thompson took one in the leg and then jammed a finger
doing a beautiful head first slide going for that extra base.
* Jacob "Yahoo, I got a Moon Pie" Robertson took one in the back
after he stared down the opposing pitcher.
